HOW TO COPY FOLDER NAMES ONLY

Hi friends.....
I got  a doubt when i working.... i.e, 
When we have to copy folders names only...
Actually when we copy folders., its copied with its subfolders or its content..
but we have to get folder names or filenames like jpg files, doc files, xls files etc..
For that  I got a small solution i.e.,
First of all you have to put your folders or files which you want to copy those names, into C or D drive..
Then get desktop and click on start button to get RUN
In RUN, type   then you get command prompt..
In that you have to type like as below

C: \>dir your file name>target filename.txt

Then you got  a text file with your target filename in C drive.....
